This beautiful cedar deck was completed in Munster Hamlet, Ontario.
Our customer was looking for a new look and feel for their backyard.
The The existing deck was removed and a new cedar deck was built in its place.
The customer chose to use concrete piers for this project allowing for the deck to be unattached to the house.
It was built as close to the ground as possible without having any of the wood frame come in contact with the ground to protect the woods integrity.
Because the deck is so low to the ground, skirting was not installed to help with air flow to keep the framing dry.
The railing is 2″x 6″ top with 2″ x 4″ upper and lower rails and black aluminum balusters. The stair rail is capped with a 2″ x 4″ to meet code as a 2″ x 6″ cannot be gripped properly for safety.
We can’t wait to see this backyard when tour customer completes the landscaping.
