Space was taken from the large master bedroom to build this new ensuite bathroom. New plumbing and electrical was run to accommodate the custom shower, new vanity, LED pot lights and heated floor. Space was taken from a large closet and a separate linen closet to accommodate the bathroom layout. This renovation included removing the existing lath and plaster / framing in this early 1900’s home and replacing with new framed walls and drywall.

Some notable options would be lighting under the vanity acting as a night light, modern grab bars in the shower, stainless low-profile foldable bench seat and Schluter heated floor with a programmable thermostat.

Ottawa Ontario Bathroom Renovation

Before In-Dex Construction

This bathroom renovation is located in Ottawa, Ontario. The demolition consisted of removing everything in this main bathroom down to the studs and subfloor. All new drywall was laid making for a new crisp finish rather than working with old drywall with blemishes and old paint.

New subfloor was laid as well as “denshield” backer board in the shower.

A new double vanity was installed in place of the old single sink vanity. A new bathtub and toilet were also installed.

The floor was finished with a matte finish tile while the shower received matching tile but in gloss for easy cleaning.
